Mr. Arif Mohammad joined the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Agartala as Assistant High Commissioner on 09 January 2022. Prior to taking up his current post, Mr. Arif served as First Secretary (Political) in the Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo, Japan from 2019 to 2021.

Mr. Arif Mohammad is a career diplomat and joined the Bangladesh Foreign Service in January 2013. He also served in the various Wings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka including Regional Organizations, Consular and Welfare, West and Central Asia, Administration and Public Diplomacy.

Mr. Arif Mohammad has received a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo and an MBA in International Business from the University of Dhaka. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Dhaka.

He is married and blessed with a daughter.
